16 months old
He still loves his bath time and takes multiple ones a day! He also is turning into a funny little character when it comes to being mischevious. We find him in the most random places.. behind his curtains, in the closet, under the table, smashed between a wall and shelf, under a bed and many more. random places. The best part is that he thinks it is the funniest thing in the world and will crack up at you the second we find him.
Also on the growth end of things.. he has slowed down as far as the weight gaining goes and he is about 24 1/2 lbs and 33 inches which puts him in the 90th percentil still for height! I never realize how tall he is til I see him next to kids his age and he towers over them.
He also is learning more and more about other children and how to play with kids that are different ages. He will go off with his friend Parker into another room and they will get into lots of fun and trouble together. Sometimes I can hear them giggling together and for no apparent reason, it makes me smile just thinking about it. He loves babies too and it melts my heart when I see him with them... he notices how small their little feet and hands are and will hold them and look at them and he loves to kiss on them. In fact just the other day I was over at my friend Ashley Skifton's house and he went right over to their little 2 month old, Collette and started giving her kisses on top of kisses all over her cute little face and even on her little mouth.. he has a soft spot for her. I can only hope that he loves his little sister as much.
Beckett continuest to be a joy in our life. He has more energy than any 16 month old I have ever known and so much curiosity that sometimes I am so warn out, but its so worth it. There are so many sweet moments that he brings to my life that I wouldn't trade him for the world. Like tonight...
We were all sitting around during family home evening (Ashley, Richard, Parker, Collette, Dani, Kevin, Ryan, Me and Beckett). We were telling stories and catching up on the last week and such with each other and enjoying one anothers company. Parker and Beckett were in their own little world but stayed close to us. Then we started our program. Richard picked the opening song and we started to sing... I love watching his little face when we sing because he instantly gets this huge grin on his face, he even joined in on the singing for the last few lines. As soon as the song was over you know what he did... He quieted down and folded his arms!!! He knew it was time for prayer, and he folded his arms for the whole prayer, all by himself, without even being asked. Since we always sing a song and then pray before bedtime he must have finally caught on. We were so impressed and proud of that little boy, I am pretty sure Ryan and I were beaming the rest of the night. It is just proof that these sweet sweet little spirits are learning and watching the things that we do on a day to day basis.
How did we get so lucky? I don't know, but I sure am grateful!

He is such a boy, down to the core. From the way he loves to play, which is already rough and messy, to his snotty nose face! I sure love that little man! What a fun kid he has been so far!
10 months old
I can't believe he is almost 1! How does time go by so fast? Sometimes I wish I could slow it down, although I do love all the new things Beckett is learning.
He loves to be outside! Any chance he gets, he is out the door. It doesn't even matter if its raining, or windy or snowing. He loves the outdoors, must take after his Dad! He continues to be an amazing crawler and can stand on his own. We have to give him something to hold in his hand to distract him so that he can stand for a long time, other wise he just sits down.
He loves to eat most anything, but has a passion for Macaroni and Cheese. He also loves his sippy cup. He has just started to sleep through the night form 9pm til 9 am. Mom and Dad are way excited about that. No talking yet, he does babble away and say mamamamama and dadadadadada, but he doesn't really know what they mean. He loves to clap and will do it when you say, Yay, Good job, or if you sing If your happy and you know it. Kind of ironic I think :)
He just started feeding himself today. Not completely, but I would put yogurt on a spoon and then he would take it and put it in his mouth and suck that thing dry. What a big boy he is turning into. We feel so blessed to have such a happy, sweet, wonderful little boy!
8 Months Old
Beckett keeps getting bigger and bigger, we can't even believe it. He is so fun to take photos of too, hence the millions below. He is such a ham and just loves it when people pay extra special attention to him. He is sleeping great, usually 9 hours at a time and then a 6 oz bottle and back to sleep for another 3 hours. He is a champ at napping which makes me a happy mom. He loves to eat anything and everything... not just food! He especially loves to eat anything that Ryan and I are eating. He grunts and yells at you to give him some too. We are trying to teach him sign language so he doesn't get so frustrated. We will see what happens with that.
Beckett has to be one of the happiest kids we know. He really has a zest for life and new experiences. He teaches us to find joy and happiness in the simple things, including nature, other people. He loves to spit and make noises with his tongue which we find quite hillarious. One of his favorite things to do when we are holding him is to hang upside down, he can do that all day long. He loves to bear crawl and Ryan calls him Little Bear, along with a few other nicknames including Booter Booters. He has accumulated quite the nicknames over the past few months. I call him Chunkers, Em calls him Beck Bum and I cant think of the rest right now, but we love them all.
We can't believe he is 8 months and we can't believe he is ours forever. Oh what life has in store for our little family. We love you little Beck and your sweet sweet spirit! You are the joy of our lives!

Beckett's Blessing
Beckett James Nichols was blessed on Sunday September 7th by his wonderful Father, Ryan Burgess Nichols. It was a very joyous time for us all. Family and Friends came from all over the country to join in this special time with us. We are so grateful to have so many friends that love and support us. (His outfit was made by Grandma Miner... WOW, she's amazing!)
Month 2
Month 1
Beckett had quite the first month of life, we know he is a great gift from our Father in Heaven. He is so happy and loves life, you can tell just by looking at him. Some of his favorite things are when Daddy kisses him all over his neck and cheek, snuggling with mom in bed and... EATING. He loves to eat, so when he started throwing up at the 3rd week into his life, we were concerned. He ended up having pyloric stenosis. A condition that causes the muscle between the stomach and small intestine to thicken, not allowing food to pass through, therefore causing it to all come back up. He had surgery and it went well. He is eating again and getting back to his old self. Some things we have noticed about him in this first month are: His hands are huge! They are as big as our friends 2 month old. His hair is grows so fast, just like Dad. His eyes are turning a greyish green, we are hoping for green. He loves to talk and look at you, he has even giggled at us a couple of times. He is a huge snuggler, just put him on your chest and he is content. He also loves his face up against anything, blankets, his head rest, your tummy, whatever... needless to say it worries me, but he just keeps doing it. I guess thats par for life as a mother.
